William Ungoed Jacob MA(Oxon) (called Ungoed)〔(Radnorshire Society transactions - Vol. 39 1969 )〕 was an eminent Anglican Priest and author〔Amongst others he wrote "Meditations on the Seven Words", 1960; "Three Hours’ Devotions", 1965; and "A Guide to the Parish Eucharist", 1969 > British Library web site accessed 19:53 GMT Monday 7 June 2010〕 in the 20th century. He was born on 6 October 1910,〔“Who was Who” 1897-2007 London, A & C Black, 2007 ISBN 9780199540877〕 educated at Llandovery College and Jesus College, Oxford and ordained in 1934. After curacies in Aberystwyth and Lampeter he held incumbencies at Blaenau Ffestiniog〔Crockford's Clerical Directory1947-48 Oxford, OUP,1947〕 and Hubberston after which he was Archdeacon of Carmarthen 〔The Times, Thursday, 19 May 1960; pg. 16; Issue 54775; col C Ecclesiastical News New Archdeacon Of Carmarthen〕 and then Dean of Brecon Cathedral.〔(Rootsweb )〕 He died on 18 December 1990. ==Notes== 〔
